I went to college in 2007, with bachelor's degrees in environmental studies, history and geography. I wasn't really able to find a job in my field. I knew I was capable of more and I could do more.
Seeing my wife go back to school gave me the courage and motivation to really look and see what I can do myself.
I looked at in-person schools, online schools; and Rasmussen turned out to be the best with their online platform. It just worked out very well. From my first advisors to many different professors and faculty, whenever you needed help, they were there. They were accessible.
I was on the Dean's list each semester and I graduated Summa cum laude. With the accounting curriculum, it's great because it's what I'm seeing in my work each day. I mean, for me going from where I had my first degree and not really being able to use that to this where I'm seeing what they taught me each day at my job. And it's, it's very helpful.
The first time I graduated college, I said, “I'm done with learning. I don't want to do it anymore. I've had enough.” With going back to Rasmussen and I rediscovered that I do like to learn quite a bit. So it was—it was a special time for me.
