After being an at-home mom for 21 years, I decided that I wanted to do something for myself. I decided to find a career that would be challenging, but yet something I enjoyed and had substance to it. So I decided I would go back to school.
I was in the Navy and I did medical and then I became an x-ray technician and I've always been interested in it. So that is something I knew I wanted to pursue. I knew with where I lived being so rural, I would have to do it online. I found Rasmussen, and when I called them, they called me that same day and they were so nice. I had information right away. They made it super easy.
I decided on the Associate’s for the Health Information Technician. Every instructor, like, they all were so nice. They give you the tools that you need.
They want you to succeed and they will help you to do that.
When I'm in something, I give my all. I am proud that I was in the Dean's list and did as well as I did it. It does feel really good. Amy Ites, the senior career service advisor, she was kind of keeping an eye out for jobs and this one came up. It was crazy because that's where I wanted to work, but it's a very, very small community. And they had a job that fit exactly what I had gone to school for.
I love my job. I, I really can say I do—and Rasmussen helped me get that job. I would recommend them a hundred percent to anybody. If I ever do decide to take anymore classes, I won't go anywhere else. It couldn't have worked out better.
