We had the opportunity to interview Ann Morgan, the Director of Online Academic Management at Rasmussen College about key tips for excellence as an online degree student. Check out her insight here:
What is the number one tip you can give students currently enrolled in an online college program?
Engaging with faculty and other students in the class is such a bonus to the experience of online learning and it can provide great advantage in times in of struggle. Pick up the phone, show up to live chat sessions, send a greeting that is not class focused but focused on getting to know the classmates and faculty you’ll be working with. Building relationships in your courses can provide opportunities to learn from fellow students who may already have valuable experience in the subject matter. Additionally, knowing your fellow students and your faculty member as people will add to your ability to communicate and relate through online discussion and other exchanges.
