This campus location was added to the Rasmussen University family in 2007 as the institution looked to expand on its mission to serve students in the Upper Midwest. The campus is closely connected to its sister location, just across the river in Moorhead, Minnesota. The two campuses work extensively together, building on Rasmussen University’s history of helping students prepare for successful careers since 1900, with career-focused degrees and comprehensive support.
Where is the Fargo campus located?
The Fargo campus sits right at the bustling intersection of Interstate 29 and Interstate 94, with convenient access to anywhere in the metropolitan area.
The Fargo-Moorhead community is vibrant, with active arts organizations, excellent dining options, phenomenal sporting events and plenty to do for outdoor adventurers. Near the Fargo campus is the Red River Zoo, with exciting exhibits featuring red pandas, wolves, otters and camels, among others. The downtown district is just a few miles away, with extensive offerings of nightlife, food, arts and other activities.

What programs are offered at the Fargo campus?
The Fargo campus offers the following on-campus programs in the School of Nursing:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): The Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program at Rasmussen University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).1
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN): The Master of Science in Nursing degree program at Rasmussen University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).1
Additionally, students have the option to enroll in any of Rasmussen University’s online programs through the Fargo campus and have access to on-campus support. This includes programs from the Schools of Business, Justice Studies, Education, Health Sciences and Technology.

How is the Fargo campus involved in the local community?
The Fargo campus has continually partnered with community organizations in the area, helping them to keep up their great work. One of those is the Jeremiah Program, which helps single mothers and their kids escape poverty and further their education. As part of the University’s Community Service Day, the Fargo campus partnered with them to raise awareness and funds to continue their important work.
The campus and its leaders are also actively involved in the local Economic Development Corporation, local Chamber of Commerce and North Dakota Chamber of Commerce. Major employers that frequently hire Rasmussen graduates are regional healthcare organizations like Sanford Health and Essentia Health.
