A Closer Look at the Rasmussen University – Aurora/Naperville Campus

New to Rasmussen University? It’s only natural to want to get the inside scoop on what to expect from your local campus. We spoke with campus director Chris Springer and asked him to highlight the important information every newcomer needs to know before stepping foot on the Rasmussen University Aurora/Naperville campus.
What is the history of Rasmussen University and the Aurora/Naperville campus?
Rasmussen University is a regionally accredited private college and has been dedicated to changing lives and the communities it serves through its career-focused and flexible educational programs since 1900. The University is committed to academic innovation and providing the highest standard of education while empowering students to pursue a college degree. Rasmussen University offers Certificate and Diploma programs through Associate’s, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs online and across 23 campuses.
The Aurora/Naperville campus is a tight-knit community dedicated to student success and employee well-being. Located in a western suburb of Chicago, the Aurora/Naperville campus is one of four the University has in Illinois. “Rasmussen University’s student-first focus, rich culture and fantastic staff and faculty make it a wonderful place to be,” Springer says.
Where is the Aurora/Naperville campus located?
The campus is conveniently located on the outer region of the Chicago metropolitan area, tucked into a business park right off of Interstate 88 and Orchard Road. There is ample free parking available for students, faculty, staff and visitors on site.
What programs are offered at the Aurora/Naperville campus?
The campus offers the Medical Assisting program residentially and more than 30 programs online. Programs are taught by qualified professionals across seven schools of study including Business, Design, Education, Health Sciences, Justice Studies, Nursing and Technology.
The campus is proud to hold accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) for its Health Information Technician Associate’s degree program.1 Additionally, the campus holds accreditation for its Medical Assisting Diploma program from the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).2
The campus also offers the following programs through the School of Nursing
- Professional Nursing (ADN)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree program at Rasmussen University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.3
What resources and support services are offered at the Aurora/Naperville campus?
Students have access to a resource center, study spaces and computer labs on campus. In addition, advisors are available to help answer any specific questions and guide you on your educational journey. They can help you with course scheduling, financial aid and learning support.
In addition to on-campus, in-person resources, our students have real-time access to everything they need, from academics to financial aid. The online Student Portal is the gateway to a variety of self-service tools from course materials, grades, account balance information, financial aid and library resources to career help and even 24/7 tech help.
