BSN degree classes are a combination of online and on-campus, with facilities ready to give you the confidence to care for your patients. The state-of-the-art Simulation Center and updated labs will give you the experience you need to think on your feet in critical situations and help meet Florida’s nursing needs. Learn in a safely controlled but realistic setting in our labor and delivery room, ICU and medical-surgical simulation room.
In-person instruction also gives you immediate feedback from your nursing instructors, the ability to ask questions and work collaboratively with faculty and other students. Plus, diving into campus life will give you an opportunity to network with other BSN students, BSN graduates, faculty and experienced BSN nurses.

BSN Program Entry Tracks for Every Nursing Student
No matter where you are in your nursing career, there is a path for you to earn your Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Rasmussen. In our BSN program, you can also choose to take up to two Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) courses at no extra tuition cost through our accelerated Master’s pathway.

BSN Standard Degree (On Campus & Online)
Similar to a traditional BSN program, this track is designed for students without a nursing diploma or degree looking to enter nursing school. Students can complete the BSN program in as few as 33 months.2

LPN to RN Bridge (On Campus & Online)
Choose this entry track if you’re already a licensed practical nurse (LPN) and interested in pursuing your RN licensure. You could earn your BSN degree faster in as few as 18 months with our LPN to RN Bridge.2

Accelerated BSN Second Degree (On Campus & Online)
If you already have a Bachelor’s degree, but want a career change into nursing, our accelerated BSN degree pathway is the right choice for you. This track option allows you to finish your BSN degree in as few as 18 months.2

RN to BSN (Online)
If you’re already a licensed registered nurse with an Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN), our post-licensure RN to BSN track can help you earn your BSN degree in as few as 12–18 months.2 Our RN to BSN program can be completed online at your own pace and with the same on-campus support. Although this can be completed online at your own pace, you’ll still have the same on-campus support.

From day one, you can focus on earning your BSN degree and becoming a registered nurse—we’ll continue to support you wherever the nursing field takes you. As soon as you complete the admissions requirements, you’re admitted into the BSN program with no need to apply twice. To help you get started sooner on your advanced nursing skills, you can also expect:

What Types of Nursing Courses Will I Take?
While some courses are offered online, the rest of your BSN program courses will be at our Tampa/Brandon campus. Take a look at some of the potential in-person courses that will allow you to apply the same skills as other registered nurses and prepare to become a compassionate BSN nurse. Even better, you can expect an average small class size of 23 students to help you focus.

Professional Nursing Skills II
Practice experiences to provide ethical, safe, compassionate, holistic nursing care and health assessment through critical thinking, clinical reasoning and clinical judgment.

Multidimensional Care III
Explore diverse multidimensional strategies for the reproductive, respiratory, cardiovascular, hematologic and urinary system nursing specialty and overall health promotion.

Multidimensional Care IV
Examine diverse multidimensional strategies for patients with neurological disorders and trauma. Learn about prioritization, educating patients and their caregivers, and providing critical mental health care.

Transition to Practice
Collaborate with nurses and other health professionals to integrate leadership principles and professional identity to provide comprehensive, evidence-based and multidimensional nursing case.

NCLEX-RN Exam Preparation
In order to gain your RN license and take the next step in your nursing career, you’ll need to pass your NCLEX-RN®3 licensure exam, also known as the National Council Licensure Examination. That’s why our Tampa/Brandon campus has state-of-the-art labs, updated facilities and the latest patient care technology to help you feel confident as a BSN nurse. You’ll start preparing for the NCLEX from day one of your BSN degree program.
In-Person Practice
The Tampa/Brandon campus Simulation Center, labor and delivery room, ICU and other updated labs are all dedicated to your success.
Peer Support
