First opening in 2010, the Rasmussen University Tampa/Brandon location sits just off Interstate 75 and the Brandon Boulevard exit with ample parking, so getting to and from campus is a breeze. In-Person Programs at the Tampa/Brandon Campus

Health Sciences and Nursing students will experience a top-of-the-line Simulation Center and updated labs, including a labor and delivery room, an ICU and a medical-surgical simulation room that give students the opportunity to learn in a safely controlled but realistic setting. Attached to these simulation rooms are “control rooms,” where instructors and students can observe. As a Rasmussen student, you will be able to better prepare for working in today’s complex healthcare environments.

    Through our Practical Nursing program, you’ll gain the experience to take the NCLEX-PN®1 and become a safe, practicing licensed practical nurse (LPN). You’ll learn from compassionate experts online and in the updated campus labs and on-site clinicals. Plus, our Tampa/Brandon campus has the option to take weekend courses Friday through Sunday for a better work-life balance. You also may be eligible to save up to $2,000 on your Practical Nursing tuition with our LPN Care Grant.2

    Prepare to become a registered nurse (RN) through our Professional Nursing program. This program is for students who are just starting in the nursing field or continuing from an LPN to RN. Practice your skills with hands-on training in the state-of-the-art campus labs and on-site clinicals in order to confidently sit for the NCLEX-RN®1 exam.

    No matter where you are in your nursing journey, there is a BSN pathway for you. Our CCNE-accredited3 and accelerated BSN program has two on-campus entry tracks to help you get started. Practice your skills in an immersive, up-to-date facility and small class sizes to give you the support you need. Choose your entry track based on your experience:

    • BSN Standard Degree: for those without a degree
    • BSN Second Degree: for those with a Bachelor’s degree who want a career change into nursing

    Students need to score a 55% or greater on the TEAS for the Practical Nursing (LPN) program, 62% or greater for the Professional Nursing (ADN/RN) program or a 72% or greater for the BSN program. Attend an online Nursing Information Session to learn more about TEAS scores.
