Welcome to the Florida School of Nursing
The nursing field is growing much faster than average, especially in the sunshine state, which has led to a nursing shortage.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 175,900 openings for registered nurses each year, on average, over the decade—growing to a total of approximately 3.3 million jobs.1As the baby boomer generation ages, this brings both a shortage of nurses retiring from the field and more patients in need of care. Rasmussen University is here to help meet the need for nurses with five campuses across the state.
Interested in earning your Practical Nursing Diploma at a thriving nursing school? At our Tampa/Brandon and Central Pasco campuses, you can take weekend courses Friday through Sunday, providing a better work-life balance during the week.
Earning your degree from an accredited University in Florida can help set you up for success in the field.2 We’re proud to be a national leader in nursing education. At Rasmussen University, all our Nursing programs in Florida campuses help you develop both your technical proficiency and transferable skills, or soft skills, to help fill the nursing shortage and bring out the best nurse in you.
