Develop a broader perspective on the field of Human Services as a strategic, ethical leader and how to work cohesively and productively with clients.
Examine and appropriately act upon the structure of community organizations, how systems are affected and how diverse populations are served. Understand the role of human services in grant writing, healthcare, planning and budgeting and nonprofit management.
Gain an understanding of the impact and response to crisis situations including stress, assault, substance abuse and loss and the roles and relationships of victims, police officers, nurses and counselors.
